Purpose of the Regulation
This Regulation clarifies the membership categories established in the Statute, their rights, obligations, annual fees, and additional advantages. It ensures transparency for all members and may be amended by the board with approval from the general assembly. Changes are communicated to members in an appropriate form (e.g., email, mail, or on the association’s website).
Membership Categories
2.1 Active Members
Annual fee: 1,500 CHF
Rights:
Voting rights at the general assembly
Participation in all events and courses of the association at member prices
Eligibility for election to the board
Benefits:
Participation in weekly club meetings (literature, art, cinema, theatre)
Participation in general cultural events (6–8 per year)
Access to club and cultural trips at member prices
Discounts on thematic courses (theatre, cinema, art history) (With a valid student ID: 600 CHF)
2.2 Passive Members
Annual fee: 600 CHF
Rights:
No voting rights
Participation in selected events by invitation
Benefits:
Regular distribution of informational and cultural news
Participation in open events of the association (paid when applicable)
2.3 Privileged Active Members
Annual fee: 2,400 CHF
Rights:
All rights of an Active Member
Access to additional exclusive privileges
Admission requirements:
Written recommendation from at least two current Privileged Active Members
Board approval
Additional privileges:
Two theatre or opera visits per year in leading European theatres (tickets included)
Two exclusive cultural or literary trips per year (within Europe or Switzerland)
Four private meetings per year with experts in literature, art, theatre, or cinema
Two exclusive events for Privileged Members only (e.g., dinner, concert, private film screening)
One free course per year (theatre, art, or film history)
Priority registration and best seats at all events
Ability to bring a guest once a year to an exclusive event free of charge
Personal invitation from the President to all private events
Annual gift (e.g., special book edition or art object related to the year’s theme)
2.4 Supporting Members (optional)
Annual fee: from 2,500 CHF (or higher by choice)
Support the association both philosophically and financially, without being required to use all privileges
May attend the general assembly without voting rights
Invited to selected events
Admission, Duration, and Termination of Membership
• Applications must be submitted in writing. Decisions are made by the board.
• Membership is valid for one year from the date of entry.
• For mid-year entry, the fee may be calculated proportionally.
• The annual fee must be paid no later than January 31 of the current year.
• Membership renews automatically unless a written resignation is submitted before September 30.
Rights and Obligations of All Members
• Members commit to respectful communication and maintaining harmony within the association.
• Members should support the association’s goals and, when possible, participate in events and projects.
• Personal data is used solely for association purposes and is not shared with third parties.
• Official communication is usually carried out via email.
Grounds for Exclusion
A member may be excluded for serious reasons, particularly for:
• repeated violation of the Statute or the Regulation
• actions that harm the reputation or interests of the association
• non-payment of the membership fee for 3 months after written reminder
Before exclusion, the member is given an opportunity to respond in writing or orally. Exclusion is decided by the board and communicated in writing. Paid fees are non-refundable. Decisions may be appealed within 30 days at the general assembly.
Entry into Force
This Regulation was approved by the general assembly on 29.08.2025 and enters into force on the same day. It replaces all previous versions concerning membership categories and privileges.
